Rumours, Rumours

There's talk that Andy Williams has been invited to play Glastonbury next year (next year! It sounds so far off...) over at eFestivals.

The Tor from the tents (2009)

On a grey dead day like today, thoughts turn very easily to Glastonbury...

Tickets secured

It's October, the leaves are falling and Glastonbury seems far, far away but the tickets went on sale today - the deposit's paid and the tickets are secured!

It doesn't get any easier tho'. I mean, I was sat there at 08:30 the sleep barely rubbed out of my eyes (it's Sunday for goodness sake), card in hand, ID on scrawled piece of paper and at 08:58 I was on to the SeeTickets website ordering my tickets, but! There is always a but! I suddenly get put placed in limbo. Words like 'Unavailable', 'Error', 'Retry', 'Please try again' are NOT the words I want to see flashing up on my screen when I'm trying to secure the most important tickets of the Festival calendar. It's not a game, it's not 'Game Over', return to Level 1. Have I got the tickets or haven't I? I am switching between unavailable page (not to mention the Glastonbury website, there was no way that was coming up either) and email, desperately searching through the hundreds of uninvited adverts for viagra pills I should be buying, penis enlargment offers I should be taking up and watches I should be investing in (I asure you, I don't need any of the aforementioned) for the 'confirmation email'. It's not there.

It did eventually come and mission accomplished: tickets secured.

After all that stress I'm going to relax tonight with a Brothers Pear Cider - Festival Strength (is there any other kind?) and watch the Glastonbury DVD and capture just a little bit of the glory that is to come - cheers!
